the problem
Most small autonomous aircraft are built assuming that a constellation of satellites will always tell them where they are. In contested airspace that assumption fails first. Jamming removes the signal; spoofing replaces it with a lie, which is worse. An airframe that cannot answer where am I? without outside help is not autonomous, but remote-controlled by whoever controls the spectrum.
This site maps the engineering that removes that assumption: how a vehicle keeps a usable estimate of its own position, velocity, and attitude when every external reference is degraded, denied, or hostile.
